AN AMERICAN CLASSICAL PERIOD CARVED MAHOGANY AND UPHOLSTERED SETTEE, POSSIBLY NEW YORK, CIRCA 1825, with a cylindrical flame mahogany crest rail terminating in scrolling foliate finials, above a rectangular padded backrest flanked by heavily padded stylized cornucopia scrolling arms enclosing bolster cushions, on a conforming seat and rounded flame mahogany seat rail centered by similarly inlaid rectangular panels, over scrolling acanthus enclosing pinecone and pumpkin detailed brackets, raised on paw feet with brass casters, upholstered throughout in neutral fabric. Height: 35" Width: 82" Depth: 23"

Condition

Good condition, professionally restored, some normal surface marks and small scratches throughout from use, age cracks, some small chips. Solid frame with areas of beautiful flame mahogany.
