American Classical Carved Mahogany Tester Bed, early 19th c., later molded tester, reeded acanthus carved posts, arched gadrooned headboard, pegged rails, h. 87 in., l. 75 in., w. 58 in Condition: Overall sound; loose at joints. Fine old patina and finish. Rails aer pine or poplar and are pegged for rope. Brass cuffs were probably originally fitted with ball feet, now casters.
