(Lot of 4) Otto Hagel (American, 1909-1974), New York Stock Exchange, 1938, gelatin silver print, later reprinted, artist stamp verso, image: 13"h x 10"w, sheet: 14"h x 11"w, overall (with mat); 22"h x 18"w. Note: In 1938 the [new] President of the New York Stock Exchange, William Mc C. Martin Jr., invited LIFE photographer, Otto Hagel "to make the most complete camera record of the Stock Exchange ever taken." Two of these four photographs by Hagel were reproduced in the picture story, "A New Deal Starts As Stock Exchange Booms, LIFE magazine, 5:2, July 11, 1938.
