Description
This is a Crow Native American Indian beaded dress from circa 1920-1930's. The dress is constructed of a early red trade clothe and shows early glass trade seed beadwork along the collar and shoulders in chalk white, blue, sky blue, black, and medium green. The piece aslo shows sacred Cowrie (or Cowry) shells with various glass trade beads. Provenance: This is from a large Native American & Early American artifact private collection in Iowa. The outer edge and center of the chest has excellent glass tube cut beads. The piece is in overall good condition. Measures 45"L x 37"W at the arms and 39"W at the skirt.
