Description
William P. Fessenden autographed letter signed promising tickets to a patron. A penciled note on the verso states most probably the tickets were for the impeachment of Andrew Johnson. Fessenden (1806-1869) served as Abraham Lincoln’s Secretary of the Treasury from July 5, 1865 to March 3, 1865. Letter in Fine condition and dated April 23, 1868.
