Pre-Columbian, Peru, ca. 1300 to 1425 CE. Pottery vessel depicting a llama head with an aryballos above. Orange-pink ground with painted black and white details. A very rare type. Size: 6.5" L x 9" H (16.5 cm x 22.9 cm)
Provenance: Ex -private PA collection, acquired from The Lands Beyond Gallery, NYC, NY in the early 1970s. Purportedly found at a hacienda in Chulucanas, northern Peru.
