This beautiful circa 1860s original Oil Painting on Canvas shows a Portrait of then President Abraham Lincoln, which measures 25” x 30”, no date or artist, not framed. It has been professionally relined and stretched over board for preservation and presentation. A short 2’ x 2” apparent repair in the canvas has been conserved, now appearing as minor abrasion in the field just left of Lincoln’s ear. This Oil Portrait displays President Lincoln in 3/4 chest up pose, with his full beard indicating a later period of his life and while as President of the United States, who appears to be looking straight at the viewer. The quality of this original artwork is impressive having excellent overall eye appeal. Framed, this original Oil Painting of President Abraham Lincoln will be an outstanding part in any Presidential, Civil War or Lincoln related collection.
