Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, Guapiles region, ca 1000 to 1400 CE. Fine carved stone image of a standing female, hands just below her perky breasts, hair in "corn-rolls" toes clearly delineated. A very fine example! Size: 7" H (17.8 cm)
Provenance: Ex-Sotheby Parke Bernet Auction 2/11/77 lot #42, still retain original auction tag. From the collection of Professor Robert Williamson, Lehigh University
