Second half 19th century, of ebonized rosewood, surmounted by a pierced scrolling foliate crest, the oval upholstered back rest issuing dual squared arms each terminating in a dragon's head hand rest on dolphin supports, centering a U-shaped upholstered seat, raised on two stepped squared and two outswept legs, raised on casters, 49'' H x 28.5'' W x 35.5'' D, est: $1500/2500

Overall good condition, with general marks, scratches, rubbed wear and shrinkage cracks commensurate with age, including a 12''-long crack to seat and a split through right dolphin. Upholstery replaced. Upholstered backrest loose from seat.
