Description
This ornately carved polychrome mirror dating to the late Qing Dynasty features Taoist themes. Painted on the back of the mirror is Shou Xing, the god of Longevity riding a stag and accompanied by a young boy and a crane. The crane is another Chinese symbol of longevity. The carved base of the mirror features the other two Fuk Luk Sau, Gods of Blessings and Prosperity. Measures 27 x 11 1/2 x 7 inches.
