Description
A late 17th century rock crystal and diamond cluster mourning ring, circa 1680. The cushion-shape rock crystal, overlaid a woven hair and gold thread love knot, within an old-cut diamond surround, to the scroll engraved shoulders and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Ring size Q. Weight 3.8gms.
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Discolouration and significant wear to some of the settings.
  • Discolouration and dirt to the reverse of the cluster.
  • Possible replacement near period band.
  • Diamonds fairly well matched.
