The bowl with a low foot and gently flaring sides, thinly walled and a nicely inverted rim
Exterior adorned with a pair of yellow enameled dragons and wish-granting jewel and clouds patterned on a cobalt ground
The motif of dragon amidst the stylized flame and cloud scrolls is repeated inside
Above the foot a border with a double layered lotus demi floret band

This impressive blue-ground yellow dragon bowl is superbly shaped into an elegant form with flaring rim and rising from the narrow foot. Fine underglaze cobalt inside and on the exterior. A pair of dragons on the wall and the reserve with wrathful facial expression, pursuing the pearls, enclosed by flame wisps.

The raised foot with a double layered lotus petal border is marked by underglaze blue double rings. On the underside is a six-character Kangxi mark in double ring in underglaze cobalt blue.

Condition

The porcelain bowl is in overall excellent condition with only slight signs of wear. Two small breakages on the glazed surface of the rim.
