ENGLISH LUSTRE TRANSFER-PRINTED AMERICAN HISTORICAL CERAMIC JUG, of a drabware body, having the design the Great Seal of the United States on one side and a ship on the opposite side, both surrounded by oval links with the names of a War of 1812 hero in pink lustre and additional pink lustre on rim, one line at base, and decoration on handle. Unmarked. Staffordshire and other areas. 1816-1820. 8" H.
Very good visual condition overall. Minor wear, restoration to rim, and restoration on spout that is beginning to flake.
