Description
Two mid Victorian and early 20th century gold gem-set rings. The first designed as a 15ct gold garnet and pale yellow gem ring with scroll engraved band, the second designed as a gold turquoise two-row ring. AF.The first with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1870. Total weight 4.6gms.
Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Bands show evidence of resize. Localised scratches and discolouration to the inside of the bands. One pale yellow gem and one garnet deficient. Turquoise ring has some paste replacements. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. One garnet significantly chipped. Ring sizes M 1/2 and N.
