Description
A pair of cast bronze standing male and female figures in Egyptian attire holding ceremonial staffs after the sculptures by Emile Louis Picault (1833 - 1915), each black patina and parcel gilt bronze figure standing on rouge griotte marble and associated polished black slate base fronted by an engraved winged scarab, circa late 19th century. No markings were found. Each measures 17.25 x 5.5 x 4.5 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Condition
Good original condition, noting patina wear to some high points and surface grime on the bronze figures. Flakes and small chips from the edges and corners of the slate bases, one slate base has a large chip from the front corner. No other damage, no repairs, losses or replacements.
