Alexander Lamont
The designer Alexander Lamont grew up in an environment, which was to forever shape him: when he was four years old, his father opened a family business in a small English village, where he sold folk art, antiques and craftworks from all around the world. Those strange and beautiful materials from Asia, Africa, and Latin-America inspired Alexander already as a child. Moreover, a trip to Thailand spurred on his imagination and in 2000 he returned to build up his own company. Lamont closely works with the locals, who teach him the traditional handicraft techniques. Through these relationships, the high-quality and authentic art works are being developed, which enjoy huge popularity worldwide. (lez)
