Northwest Iran, Luristan culture, ca. 900 to 600 BCE. Rare and quite lovely bronze situla in a style known as "button based" for obvious reasons. Created with multiple vertical ribs and fine incised decorations at top and bottom. Could possibly be further cleaned to reveal more of the decorated surface. Size: 5.875" H (14.9 cm)
