Description
Prayerbook for all year according to the Sfardi custom, with 10 dear perushim from sages of Israel, the siddur “Harei BaShamayim” with many additions and interpretations from Chassidic sages. Krakow, 1908. On the cover page is the stamp of the Admor Rabbi Yaakov from Bahush. In the margins of the indices are penciled glosses in his handwriting (Rashi script). The Admor Rabbi Yaakov Friedman of Husiatyn (1879-1957, Encyclopedia of Chassidut, II, p. 244-245), son of Admor Rabbi Yitzhak of Bahush and in-law of the Admor Rabbi Yisrael of Husiatyn. A genius and extremely well-versed in Torah and chassidut, as well as wordly studies. A founder of the “Chevrat Yishuv Eretz Yisrael” in Vilna. Moved to Israel in 1937, after the death of his father in law was appointed to fill his place in the Admorut of Husiatyn in Tel Aviv. His writings were printed in “Ohalei Yaakov.” Generally good condition, light defects.
