Description
Pre-Columbian, Panama, Gran Cocle, ca. 800 to 1000 CE. Wonderful pottery jar in abstract human form. Flared base tapers to a thin shoulder then with channel that seems to represent a warrior with helmet inside of a barrel-type armor. Painted in fabulous Cocle scheme with small saurians and geometric patterns. A gorgeous and rare vessel! Size: 6" W x 8" H (15.2 cm x 20.3 cm)
