Description
Pre-Columbian, Colombia / Venezuela, Tairona culture, ca. 800 to 1200 CE. Large pottery urn or olla in human form. Large bulbous base with large single handle,, human head atop with coffee-bean eyes and mouth, nose with open septum once probably holding a gold nose ring. Pectoral on chest and two emerging appendages that perhaps represent small hands. A very rare and large jar! Size: 11" W x 13" H (27.9 cm x 33 cm)
