Unusual lithograph depicting Abraham Lincoln composed of a preamble and text from the Emancipation proclamation. Titled at top, "Proclamation of Empancipation" and at bottom "Abraham Lincoln". Inscribed in the plate at bottom, "Designed and written by W.H. Pratt, Davenport, Iowa" and "Lith. by A. Hageboeck, Davenport, Iowa".
Condition
Image in good condition, free of major defects. Minor scuff at top left near title, small hole at lower right, not affecting image, and various minor margin defects. Verso displays acid burn from previous cardboard matte, not visible on recto. Dimensions: Sight: 12.50 " H x 9.00 " W; Frame: 14.00 " H x 11.13 " W. Provenance: The Estate of Dr. Alan York
