Publisher's printed boards, front board detached and rear board just holding, hinges torn, light to moderate foxing, significant splitting and tearing/chipping along several folds of map (map detached), with slight loss in eastern Virginia/southern Maryland along one fold, about average. ************************************ The detailed map, "Perrine's New Topographical War Map of the Southern States," shows the states north to include a good portion of Pennsylvania, west through Missouri, and south through most of Florida, with an inset of the southern part of Florida, with sites of battles and important events circled in red. The text gives a chronological, day-by-day account of the progress of the Civil War through November 1863, followed by a table of distances, a list of casualties, and other statistical information concerning the war.
