Description
Pre-Columbian, Peru, Nazca culture, ca. 100 BCE to 800 CE. This is a polychrome kero (quero), a vessel placed into a Nazca tomb, ringed with a fantastical design of mushrooms and what looks like corn or some other crop. Wide bands of red, orange, and a purple-grey are characteristic of the Nazca culture. This small size is quite rare! Size: 3.25" W x 3.55" H (8.3 cm x 9 cm)

One small, stable crack to rim; otherwise intact, with very slight chips to interior of rim and minor paint wear. Design very clear.
