Description
AMERICAN HISTORICAL EAGLE QUILT, four panels on front, made of printed chintz fabric in brown, pinks, and reds, having an American eagle with shield and banner reading "E Pluribus Unum"; 20th century binding on three sides, faded mark on back with "SHIRTINGS" legible, cutouts on one end for bed posts. Circa 1830. 80" x 96".
Good/fair condition overall with areas of staining, expected wear, particularly to top edge, and separation of chintz in some areas.
