Pair of famille rose brush washers with wooden stands from the Republic Period. These round brush washers have a lovely red and gold-tone pattern covering their exterior along with a yellow ruyi and flower border near the rim. The body is covered in flowers and there are three white ground roundels with flowers and butterflies in them. The bottoms are marked with "CHINA" and a 6 character seal mark. They have wooden stands with 5 decorative swan head legs.
Dimensions are 4 7/8 inches wide by 4 1/8 inches high. With the stands, the height is 6 1/4 inches. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: They are in good condition with some minor paint wear.
Provenance: From a Chicago estate; the proprietor resided in Hong Kong from 1950-1960.
