Description
Two mid Victorian memorial brooches. The first a marquise-shape brooch with engraved surround to the glazed sepia scene depicting two birds perched on an urn with the word 'L'amitie' written above, the second with circular purple pastes arranged as a rectangle, surrounding splits pearls and a glazed vacant panel. Lengths 2.4 to 4.4cms. 13.8gms.
The condition of this lot is fair to poor. The purple paste brooch has heavy wear to the surface of the pastes. The glazed panel has a chip to one corner. There is a heavy dent to the back of the sepia brooch. This brooch can also be worn as a pendant.
