Veracruz, Mexico, Ca. 600-900 CE. Terracotta seated warrior having a central head crest and long side lappets, resting his left hand on his raised knee, and holding a shield in his right hand. Wearing large disc ear ornaments tasseled necklace and belted loincloth. Painted black and red highlights. Whistle incorporated in the rear body. Size: 5" W x 5" H (12.7 cm x 12.7 cm)
