Robert Frank is a Swiss-born American photographer and documentary filmmaker. He moved to America 1947 and worked as a fashion photographer for Harper's Bazaar in New York City. He is best known for his photo publication "The Americans", a series of photos from a series of road trips across America. This came to be known as perhaps the most influential photography book of the 20th century.
