Description
Group of 4 Asian items including two ceramic vases, likely Japanese, both with blue underglazed marks on base, 4 3/4" H and 6" H; one small cloisonne dish with white ground and floral spray, marked "China" on base, 3 7/8" diameter; and one small silver metal (not marked but tests as sterling) junk boat with 3 figures and 1 cannon, mounted on wooden base. 1 1/2" H x 3-1/4" W x 3/4" D, 2 1/4" H with stand, 2.42 oz troy with stand. All items early 20th century. Provenance: Descended from the collection of Thomas and Pamela Woodley of Long Island, NY and FL. Mr. Woodley was an electrical engineer who traveled worldwide over a period of approximately 20 years. Areas of collecting interest included Asian and Far Eastern decorative items. The last two photos of this lot have Orlando Sentinel newspaper articles from the early 1960s featuring the Woodley collection. Condition
All items overall very good condition with silver boat missing a canopy.
