Item Details
Description
Mat glaze bowl with carved peacock feather designed covered in green over blue mat glazes by Cecil Duell in 1908. Marks include the Rookwood logo, date, shape 929 E, an impressed V for Vellum, Mr. Duell's incised initials and a wheel ground X. There is also a very rare Rookwood Museum paper label attached indicating the bowl was kept in Rookwood's own museum: we have only seen this label 4 other times. There are tiny open glaze bubbles but no substantial problems that in our opinion warrant the X. Size is 2 7/8 inches high by 7 inches in diameter.
