Description
Hand Blown Amberina Glass serving pitcher, perhaps for punch or lemonade. Very fine quality, all hand blown. Separately applied handle and shaped spout. Swirled body and stretched handle. Cut pontil. Two-Toned Amberina Glassware was made from 1883 to circa 1900 and patented by noted Glassmaker Joseph Locke of the New England Glass Company. It shades from a Red color to Amber, usually top to bottom because Red glass was much easier to reheat at the top of a piece than the bottom. Acquired in Boston, Massachusetts. Measurements: Approx. 9.25" high, 8" diameter with handle, 6" body diameter. *** Please keep in mind that we have a professional and cost-effective in-house shipping service.
