An Asprey English Silver Commemorative Royal Wedding Anniversary Covered Bowl and Spoon, London, England, circa 1973
Marks: (lion passant), (leopard's head), (S), ASPREY LONDON, (A&CO, LTD)
4-1/8 inches high x 5-1/4 inches diameter (10.5 x 13.3 cm) (bowl)
14.22 troy ounces
The silver bowl and spoon each commemorating the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip of the United Kingdom, slightly domed lid having gilded lion passant finial, royal cipher and crests in relief arranged in quatrefoil design, ovoid opening for pierced spoon, plain lower bowl, spoon having similar gilded motif to terminal with anniversary dates 1947-1972, marked to the underside of the bowl as No 84 in the limited series.
