Description
FRANCE, 1938A French advertisement poster for Anic brand cigarettes by Italian artist Severo Pozzati (1895-1983). The poster depicts a large white dove above an opened cigarette with exposed filter against a dark gold background with blue accents. Above the dove "Cigarettes Extra-Douces" is boldly printed in blue over the cigarette brand name "ANIC" printed boldly in black. Behind the opened cigarette "Bout Filtrant La Nicotine" is printed in white. Beneath the cigarette "Caporal Ordinaire; Caisse Autonome D'amortissement" is boldly printed in blue and white. Written vertically on the bottom left edge is the printing company and its address. The piece is signed with Pozzati's pseudonym "Sepo" with the date "38" in the bottom right hand corner.
