Charmian London's biography of her husband, who died in 1916. Appendix in second volume contains a bibliography of Jack London's works. Both volumes inscribed and signed by the author. Vol. 1 inscribed on the front free endpaper to artist Johannes Reimers: "ToJohannesReimers: I think you, more than most, will sense the inwardness of this life of our Jack. With love,CharmianLondon. Glen Ellen, Nov. 2, 1921." Vol. 2 is inscribed to Anders Norman: "Dear Anders Norman: This book will always recreate, happily I hope, scenes with which you have been associated during your work onCharmian'sHouse". That house was not built when I finished this life of Jack, but I had it as well in my eye as it actually stands today in stone &steel & wood. Your friend,CharmianLondon. In the Valley of the Moon, 1935." Also included is an additional unsigned copy of Vol. 2.
