Imperial Russian 0.87ct Genuine Royal Blue Sapphire, 0.62ctw Genuine Old European-Cut Diamond, & Solid 56 (14K) Gold Men's Ring *Made by Faberge's First Chief Jeweler, Erik August Kollin* - This impressive piece is made of solid 56 bright yellow gold and is centered with a sparkling, 0.87ct round-cut royal blue sapphire, and highlighted by (2) 0.31ct genuine SI1/J old European-cut, bezel set diamonds. There is a nugget motif throughout the exterior of the ring, which accents the piece beautifully. This piece displays an elegance and quality of work that you simply do not see in today's market, and is of the highest investment quality. This amazing ring was made in Moscow in the late 1800's, by workmaster Erik August Kollin. Kollin worked directly for Karl Faberge, and soon became Faberge's first chief jeweler. He was put in charge of all of Faberge's workshops, a post which he held until 1886. The ring is marked with the Imperial pre-revolution 56 old Russian Gold standard (14K), and workmasters initials "EK" in Cyrillic. Ring size: 10.
