Description
An Egyptian wooden figure, Middle Kingdom, c. 2061 – 1690 BC, from a model depicting a scene from everyday life, the male figure is seated, wearing a short kilt, his hands outstretched as he performs some kind of labor. Well-preserved with much of the original pigments preserved beneath earthen deposits. H: 7 7/8 in (20 cm). A nice example on lucite base. Ex New Jersey estate.
