Description
A very fine walnut sideboard. The upper section of two burled-backed shelves each supported by carved brackets surmounted by a carved crest centered by a projecting Black Forest carved wood deer's head mounted with true deer antlers and set with glass eyes flanked by high relief carved acanthus scrolls; the base with a molded marble top, projecting pilasters and serpentine sides over a conforming case frieze fitted with two central cutlery drawers and a pair of cupboard doors and the rounded sides fitted with conforming single drawer each with carved mask pulls over a cupboard door, over two doors, supported on a plinth base. Measures 96 x 72 x 25 inches. We happily provide seamless in-house packing and shipping services on nearly everything we sell.
Condition
One ear is a replaced wood carving, otherwise very good original condition throughout.
