HN HEXAGONAL PRESSED OPEN SALTS, LOT OF TWO, colorless, comprising an HN-8 and an HN-16 variant without the serrations to inside of base. Scarce and rare. Possibly New England. 1835-1850. 1 5/8" H, 3" DOA, and 1 3/8" H, 3 1/8" DOA.
Excellent condition, HN-8 with a flake/mold roughness to three rim points and a few other flakes, HN-16 with a shallow chip to two sides of base, slight rim underfill.
Literature: Neal - Pressed Glass Salt Dishes of the Lacy Period, pp. 102 and 112.
Provenance: Collection of Paul and Monica Harvey, Naples, FL.
