Description
An Etruscan bronze figure of Herakles, c. 3rd - 2nd Century BC, depicted standing nude wearing wreath, his right hand raised overhead holding a club, lion's skin draped around left arm. The facial details are nicely preserved with an overall even brown patina. H: 4 1/3 in (11cm). Mounted on an old wood base. Ex German private antiquities collection.
