Folk art (outsider or untrained art) two-dimensional sculpture, depicting a female figure surrounded by circus-like figural vignettes, with inscriptions throughout typical of the artist's oeuvre. Overall approximately 17.25" x 17" x 0.25". Provenance: Acquired from the artist, Howard Finster by the Estate of Liz Howell Bloodworth, Atlanta, Georgia. Note: A former minister and Summerville, Georgia, resident, Finster widely known for his use of found objects and religious themes.
