Description
Manner of Sanborns HNOS S.A. (Mexican (Mexico City), founded by Walter and Frank Sanborn 1903- ). A silver teapot with matching coffee pot, each melon-form with ebonized wood finial and handle. Neither piece marked but tested positive for strong silver content, likely sterling. Approximate height of coffee pot 7.5", width 9" (spout to handle). Approximate height of tea pot 6", width 11" (spout to handle).
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Some minor dents and pits, with sticker outlines to underside of each, some polish residue and surface wear from polishing. No hallmarks to either piece. Not weighed due to lack of hallmarks and wooden handles. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
