This is the autobiography of the pioneering athlete Marshall Walter "Major" Taylor. He became the world champion in 1899 in the one mile sprint at Montreal. He is said to be the second African-American world champion in any sport, after Canadian boxer George Dixon. Examples with the dust jacket are uncommonly found. Good condition.
