Rare first edition. In this work Cardano, in his capacity as a doctor, comments the Prognostico and De septimestri partu, with the Latin text reproduced in full. The prognostico is one of the most important books of Hippocrates, foundational to the history of medicine: it introduces the theory of observation of ill events, that is the correct reading of the symptoms, essential for the correct diagnosis and to be able to predict the course of an illness.
