Description
Roman Empire, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A delicate translucent pale blue-green glass vessel featuring a concave bottom, rounded base, a wide rotund body with rounded shoulders flowing into a narrow tubular neck, a flat folded rim with a rounded lip, and two applied undulating trail handles. A silvery iridescence imparts an almost effervescent visage to the vessel. A most desirable example of fine Roman glasswork! Size: 4" W x 5.125" H (10.2 cm x 13 cm).
