The Hôpital des Enfans Malades, founded in 1802 in Paris, was the first and foremost children's hospital in Europe. Dugès (1797-1838), with Marie Boivin, did classical work in gynecology (See Garrison-Morton 6028). He was the nephew and editor of the renowned midwife, Marie Louise Lachapelle (See Garrison-Morton 6170). British Library Catalogue (Readex edition), Vol. 7, p. 835, col. 938. Not in Grulee. A scarce title, not in Wellcome." With the later ownership stamp of F. Mayor Dr. Ch. on the title-page of both volumes, not affecting text.
