Description
Carver's Guild (American, founded 1970), mid to late 20th century. A Chinese Chippendale style giltwood chinoiserie motif mirror, having a vertically-oriented oval form, with a bamboo motif frame accented with scrolling vines, flowers, and icicle drops, topped with an open pagoda form crest and flanked by two phoenixes or Hoho birds, accented with four wire work flower appliques, with a central lower rocaille. Label and hanging instructions to reverse. Approximate height 48.5", width 26", depth 1.75".
Condition
Some minor wear commensurate with age and use, including very minor losses to gilt. Not distracting. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
