A WHITE AND SPINACH-GREEN JADE 'EGGPLANT' SNUFF BOTTLE, PROBABLY PALACE WORKSHOPS, QING DYNASTY, QIANLONG / JIAQING PERIOD
Nephrite. China, 1750-1820

Probably Imperial Palace Workshops. Designed in the shape of an eggplant. The body is of pure white nephrite jade with smooth and even surface polish. The leaves are of spinach green nephrite jade and show fine detail carving.

Condition: Star shaped natural hairline to white jade (max. extension 15 mm); very small hairline to rim (only visible when leaves are removed, length 3mm) and one leave. One tip of one leaf (3mm) missing. Otherwise perfect
