The tambour top opening to a leather inset interior, with a mechanically operated concealed superstructure, fitted with a three-sided gallery and small drawers, lifting in conjunction with the hinged sides that drop-flat to enlarge the writing surface, the frieze with two drawers, raised on square tapering legs, ending in brass feet with casters.
