Description
AMERICAN, PROBABLY PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, PAINTED FAN-BACK WINDSOR SIDE CHAIR, white oak, poplar, and probably maple, shaped crest rail, seven spindles, boldly shaped saddle seat, ring-and baluster turnings with H-form stretcher. Retaining an old red-painted surface over likely original green. Circa 1795. 36" HOA, 15 1/2" x 18" seat, 18" seat height.
Very good overall condition with minor expected wear. Seat with crack.
