Originally worn by Jacqueline Kennedy for a magazine photograph during the 1960 Presidential campaign and subsequently given to Mary Gallagher during the final hectic weeks after the election. The bodice was altered by Mrs. Odette Lehmann, White House Seamstress, for Mary to wear to the Inaugural Ball. Stains and losses.
