Strapless pink chiffon dress, size 12, Empire style with gathered bodice trimmed with a satin bow, discoloration spots from storage. Property of Mary B. Gallagher, Jacqueline Kennedy's Personal Secretary. Originally worn by Jacqueline Kennedy for a magazine photograph during the 1960 Presidential campaign and subsequently given to Mary Gallagher during the final hectic weeks after the election. The bodice was altered by Mrs. Odette Lehmann, White House Seamstress, for Mary to wear to the Inaugural Ball. Stains and losses. NOTE: The photograph of attached to this lot earlier in the week was incorrect--it was the image for lot 55. The correct photo is the pale pink satin sheath. Our apologies.
